The folks at Foxwell set my account to reload it with the Mercedes package at no cost. Unit worked to register a new battery and clear restraining system and other errors generated when installing new battery. Lesser OBD scanners did not have this capability. This unit reads your vehicle config and tests every circuit, component, and module you can imagine.

I bought the BMW one. After getting it I could not get it to run. I tried to charge it and I got nothing. Used USB C, it was not included as manual says it was supposed to be, so I checked and yes it was able to charge my cell phone so I tried another cable. Still didn’t work. After reading manual more and more I find it has to be 10w charger so my cig adaptor in my car was too high. So I attached it to my computer port and let it charge that way. After getting it up to 25 minutes I connected it to my car. I opened up the unit to run diagnostics. I had to sign into the account first. That’s when I realized it was a return. There was already a name set up into the account window. I got that cleared up and signed in. There is no BMW software installed. None at all. I confirmed that when I tried to read the VIN. It says there is no BMW software installed. In the screen menus you can uninstall software but I don’t see a way to install it. So I’ve messaged support. Not sure I should bother as I’m goi

UPDATE: I'm updating this review to reflect the positive support experience I have received from Foxwell with the initial issues I reported using the product, in particular the Ford software upgrade. While I had some initial hiccups, any company that stands behind it's products has my support and is more than I can say for many other manufacturers these days. 1) My feedback regarding navigating the software was taken into consideration and Foxwell promised improvements to the software to make it easier for DIYers and enthusiasts to navigate. 2) The NT710 was able to perform all the advertised service features for my BMW, but for some reason some supported features were unavailable for my 2016 Ford Transit Connect, like Brake Bleed. Foxwell has made a commitment to continue improving the Ford software, but after using the unit a few more days I'm happy to say that the BMW software delivers on all the service functions and advertised features for my 2019 BMW X3. I was able to modify all parameters in BMW CBS and diagnose an issue with KAFAS. Overall I'm

I wasn't sure how well this device would perform given its low price, but I was happily proven wrong. This device works amazingly well, and you can't beat the price. Its speed, detail, and ease of use make it number one in my book.

I’m telling you right now it won’t get better than this. You will not find a better deal on a scanner BMW specific that can do all these things. I have a substantially more expensive big big big name brand scanner that didn’t do 1/4 of what this one does. It’s just about the same as the factory diagnostic tool the dealers use. (Updated next sentence) So far I found a single difference besides the layout just a bit and you can NOT program, but you can code. If you work on BMW’s a lot or just your own this is the best one to buy. I wish I was sponsored so I could get a discount, but it was worth every penny. And you can buy directly from the device additional manufacturer specific software! A lot of the big name brands are available

Designed for use of a 2yrs old: WHY is the font a 2pt... so small one needs double bifocals. NO ability to view password, just ***.. Need 10 codes from phone, laptop and Foxwell to set up. Spent 6 hours attempting to jump through all the set up challenges. I have bought Foxwell for years-- NEVER AGAIN. This unit should be user friendly for a grown man working in a garage not a 5 yr old holding a game boy. WHY foes Foxwell have a 9-inch unit, 6 plus screen, with a 30mm email, password, verification number, repeat password, answer questions on 2-inch square: REDICULOUS . WHO DESIGNED THIS? Sent four e mails to support, NO RESPONSE. Never buy Foxwell again, sent back all 8 units...
